Ledger Live is a companion app for your Ledger hardware wallet. There’s no account username to remember: your device is central to authorizing access.
Your private keys are intended to remain protected by the hardware wallet. Ledger Live lets you view and manage supported accounts, while approvals for transactions happen on the device. Treat every unexpected request with caution.

Follow these steps whenever you connect. Your PIN belongs on the device—not on your computer or phone.
Connect your Ledger
Connect by USB, or pair over Bluetooth on supported devices. Confirm you are connecting to the app you opened.
Unlock your device
Enter your PIN directly on the Ledger hardware wallet. Never type your PIN or recovery phrase into a website.
Open your portfolio
If you enabled the app password lock, enter it in Ledger Live. The app will then sync accounts from your device.

What is Ledger Live Login?+
Ledger Live Login is the process of accessing your Ledger Live application using your device PIN and/or password. It does not require a username or email—your private keys remain on your hardware wallet.
Is Ledger Live Login safe?+
Your private keys are designed to stay on your Ledger hardware device. Access uses your device PIN and optional app password. Always verify prompts on the device itself and use the official app.
Why can’t I log in to Ledger Live?+
Common issues include an incorrect PIN, an outdated app, USB connection problems, or a forgotten app password. Check your connection, unlock your device, and update Ledger Live and device firmware using official instructions.
Does Ledger Live Login require an email address?+
No. Ledger Live does not use an email address or username for device access. Your hardware wallet is used to authorize access.
How do I reset my Ledger Live password?+
If you forget the app password, follow Ledger’s official password-reset or app-reset instructions. Resetting app data may remove locally stored accounts, which can be added again with your Ledger device. Your recovery phrase is never required in Ledger Live.
